Routing forms

One link in front of several booking pages. People answer a few questions, and the answers decide where they go.

Make a form

Open Routing forms in the sidebar and press New form. Give it a title, then ask up to 10 questions. A question can be a name, an email address, a short answer or a choice from a list you write. Any of them can be optional. You can have up to 20 forms.

Decide where people go

Add rules from the top down. A rule says if an answer is, is not, or contains something, then show an event type, go to a web address, or show a message. A rule can look at several answers and fit when all of them match, or when any one does. The first rule that fits decides; everyone who fits none goes to the last step, which you always set. Use the arrows to change the order of rules.

An event type can be one of yours or one of a team you belong to. Someone sent to a booking page arrives with the name and email they gave already filled in, so they only pick a time. People never see the rules, so they can’t read off which answers lead where.

Share it

The form has its own link, at /route/…. Put it on your site, in an email signature or in a message. Turn Taking answers off to stop using it without losing anything; the link then says it isn’t available. If an event type a rule points at is later turned off, people are told it isn’t available rather than sent to a page that doesn’t exist.

See the responses

The Responses tab lists every submission: when, what was answered, and where the person was sent and by which rule. That is kept as it was, so changing the form later doesn’t rewrite what happened.

What routing forms are not

Answers don’t pick a particular person on a team or change a booking’s questions, and there are no webhooks or analytics for them yet. People get no email when they submit.
