Quickstart
From a fresh sign-in to a link you can send someone, in about five minutes. Nothing here needs a credit card.
1. Sign in
Go to sign in and enter your email. You get a six-digit code and a link; either one gets you in. If the operator has configured Google, you can use that instead — signing in asks only for your name and email, and connecting a calendar is a separate step later.
2. Pick your link
Onboarding asks for your name, your time zone and the username that forms your booking link. Choose carefully but not anxiously: you can rename it later in Settings → My link, and the old address stops working when you do.
3. Set your hours
Availability holds your weekly hours, in your own time zone: which days you take calls and between what times. You can keep more than one named schedule — “Working hours” and “Evenings”, say — and point different event types at different ones.
Add date overrides for the exceptions: a different finish on one Friday, or a day marked unavailable entirely. Every time you enter is interpreted in your zone and shown to invitees in theirs, through daylight saving changes. The availability reference covers the lot.
4. Create an event type
An event type is a kind of meeting people can book: a 30-minute intro call, an hour of coaching, a 15-minute question. Give it a title, a length and a location, and it gets its own link at /your-username/its-slug.
The settings that protect your week live here, per event type, so a 15-minute question and a two-hour workshop can have different rules:
- Buffers before and after, up to four hours each, so back-to-back bookings can’t happen.
- Minimum notice, so nobody books you in ten minutes’ time.
- A daily and weekly cap, so a popular link can’t fill your week.
- A booking window, limiting how far ahead people can book.
- Up to ten questions answered at booking time — short text, long text, a dropdown, radio buttons, checkboxes or a phone number.
The booking page reference goes through all of it, including group events and single-use links.
5. Connect a calendar and Zoom (optional)
On the Calendar page, connect a Google or an Outlook account. Two things then happen: busy events on that calendar are removed from your open slots, and every booking becomes a calendar event, with a Meet link (Google) or a Teams link (Outlook) when the event type asks for one. For Zoom, connect it under Settings, Connectors; it works with or without a calendar. Without any of them, CalFree works purely from the hours you set.
6. Send the link
Share either your page (/your-username, which lists every active event type) or one event type’s link. Invitees pick a time in their own zone, answer your questions and they’re booked — no account, ever. Both of you get an email with an .ics attachment, and theirs carries reschedule and cancel links.

To let an agent book for someone, create an API key in Settings → API keys and read the MCP server guide. To build your own integration, start with the REST API.
