Changelog
What's new in CalFree
Every change you can see, newest first.
Paid bookings are gone
- CalFree no longer takes payment for bookings. Event types can't have a price, and Settings no longer has a payment account to connect. If you used to charge, those event types have been turned off.
- Pro is now the plan with no footer, up to 10 webhooks and 90 days of analytics.
- For the API: event types no longer have price_cents, currency or refund_hours_before, and a request that sends a price is refused. Booking no longer answers 402 payment_required, and webhook bookings carry no payment fields.
Smoother settings, easier time zones, and pages for long lists
- Settings stays open while you move between sections, instead of closing and reopening. On a phone it has a section menu.
- Time zones can be found by city, abbreviation or country: Kolkata, Kyiv, IST, EST, India. Each shows its offset.
- Long lists (event types, bookings, polls, routing forms and their responses, teams, the activity log, webhook deliveries and the changelog) now come in pages.
- Booking cards show the event colour as a dot, and the booking page fades the list of times when more are below.
- The sidebar has the CalFree logo, and the availability save bar only appears when there is something to save.
An activity log, and clearer plans
- Settings now has an Activity page: every change on your account, such as event types, availability, keys, connections, teams and plans, and every booking made, moved or cancelled, with who did it. Entries are kept for 90 days.
- Plans are called Free, Pro and Teams everywhere. The 14-day trial is for your first plan; later plans are charged from the first day.
- Deleting your account now also stops any plan you pay for from renewing.
- If a plan ends, webhooks beyond the Free limit pause instead of carrying on.
CalFree runs on its own server
- CalFree is now hosted at calfree.dev, with sign-in emails sent from mail.calfree.dev.
Pro and Teams plans, and routing forms
- Pro ($5 a month) removes the footer and lets you charge for bookings. Teams ($6 per seat a month) adds shared round-robin pages. Both start with a 14-day trial.
- Routing forms ask a few questions, then send each person to the event type that fits.
Meeting polls and teams
- Meeting polls let a group vote on a time, and the host picks the winner.
- Teams share booking pages and event types, with round robin among the people who are free.
The first release
- Booking pages with unlimited event types, availability, and Google calendar sync with Meet links.
- Emails with calendar invites, reminders, and reschedule and cancel links.
- A REST API and an MCP server, so scripts and AI agents can book on your behalf with an API key.
- Webhooks, embeds, single-use links, group events, paid bookings and Zoom links.
